The viewer you're currently running appears to have an outdated internal browser. This may limit you from certain features and prevent you from viewing media content in Second Life.
In order to fix this, you may simply need to update your viewer, or consider an alternative:
| Viewer | Minimum version required |
|---|---|
| Firestorm | 6.4.1 |
| Official SecondLife | 6.6.1 |
| Black Dragon | 4.1.0 |
| Singularity | UNSUPPORTED |
| Alchemy | UNSUPPORTED |
If your preferred viewer is unsupported, consider suggesting its developers to update Dullahan (name of internal browser) to version 1.8.0 or greater. You currently seem to have version 0.0.0 of Duhallan.

By accessing or using MediaSL, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. This combined document outlines the rules and guidelines governing your use of MediaSL. If you do not agree to these terms, please refrain from using MediaSL.
MediaSL presents a virtual Media Center experience for 3D objects ("Device(s)") within the SecondLife Virtual Game World (“SecondLife”), facilitating access to third-party internet services through tailored applications ("App(s)"). This immersive experience synchronizes interactions across all users viewing the same Device, fostering a shared environment for collectively watching, listening, and enjoying internet services as if physically present in the same room. Users autonomously place Devices within SecondLife, and those initiating this action ("Device Owner(s)"), possess the authority to customize settings and aesthetics of their respective Devices.
MediaSL operates as a free complimentary service, managed by individuals who passionately engages in this endeavor as a hobby. The cost of operation is covered personally, with agreements from Device Creators helping to offset these expenses as much as possible. MediaSL remains entirely separate from the Devices — ownership of a Device does not grant ownership of or entitlement to MediaSL itself.
MediaSL reserves the right to modify, suspend, or permanently discontinue its services or parts of its services at any time, for any reason, without prior notice and having no obligations to its users.
Device Owners are prohibited from adding copyrighted, illegal, or immoral content. MediaSL reserves the right to determine the boundaries of immorality. MediaSL disclaims responsibility for any inadvertent exposure to content of a shocking nature contributed by its users. Users are encouraged to report any instances of content violations through the designated channels provided in section I. Contact Information.
MediaSL places utmost importance on privacy and is committed to strict compliance with the privacy laws of Europe, the Commonwealth, and the United States of America, adhering to the most stringent applicable regulations in each jurisdiction. Our dedication to privacy extends to safeguarding your personal information and ensuring that our practices align with the highest standards of data protection. By utilizing MediaSL, you can trust that your privacy rights are respected and upheld with diligence and transparency.
Refer to section E. Data Collection, Storage and Usage for a full overview and our Privacy Policy of collected data.
MediaSL collects certain information from Device Owners upon association with their Device. Association is a manual and deliberate process that a Device Owner must follow if they wish to elevate their privileges. This collected information is limited to:
The Owner IP Address is stored in AES-128 encrypted form. The IP address of visiting users is compared against the Owner IP Address of the Device to establish a level of trust to determine whether that user is the Device Owner as a means of authentication.
The Owner UUID is publicly accessible and easily retrievable information within SecondLife and is therefore stored as plain text. This information serves the purpose of providing support when users initiate contact with MediaSL through SecondLife.
The Device UUID is publicly accessible and easily retrievable information within SecondLife and is therefore stored as plain text. This information allows us to establish a unique record in the database for the owner to store their settings, customization and App related data.
Third-party internet services accessed through Apps are subject to change or may vary in availability. As a result, MediaSL reserves the right to temporarily disable or permanently remove Apps without prior notice. MediaSL is not responsible for the content provided by these platforms and reserves the right to moderate such content at its discretion.
MediaSL uses the Youtube API Services. By using the Youtube App, you are agreeing to be bound by the Youtube Terms of Service outlined in section F.1.a. Additionally, please note that any data collected through the Youtube API Services is subject to the Google Privacy Policy, as specified in section F.1.b.
Any search query entered in the Youtube App is sent to the Youtube API and (irreversibly) hashed to CRC32 to serve as identification for the Youtube API results that are stored in the database for caching purposes. Data can remain in the database for up to six months after the last time it was requested. Youtube Channel owners may request a deletion of results by contacting us through the e-mail listed in section I. Contact Information by providing their Channel ID.
Device Owners can mark videos and playlists as favorites, storing their corresponding YouTube VideoID or PlaylistID as plain text in the database. If desired, Device Owners have the option to unfavorite videos and playlists, removing their entries from the database.
MediaSL uses the Twitch API. By using the Twitch App, you are agreeing to be bound by the Twitch Terms of Service outlines in section F.2.a and the privacy policy outlines in section F.2.b.
Device Owners are granted the capability to provide links from supported public media galleries for the addition of albums containing images, sounds, and videos to the Files App. Media content sourced from the provided links is subsequently acquired through the respective platform APIs and the links thereof are stored as plain text within the database. The links are not scanned by MediaSL for malicious practices. Device Owners retain the authority to delete their own albums; upon deletion, the content is also removed from the database.
Device Owners are granted the capability to add HTTP and HTTPS links to the Bookmark App. MediaSL will crawl the provided link for any icons it can use to display on the Bookmark App. The link and possible icon URL are not scanned by MediaSL for malicious practices, and are stored as plain text in the database. Deleting a bookmark does not remove it from the database, as devices may share a link to the same bookmark. The owner may request deletion of a bookmark from the database by contacting us through the e-mail listed in section I. Contact Information.
MediaSL grants users access to data associated with a Device when visiting the respective Device for immersive synchronized interactions. To enhance privacy and security, Device Owners have the option to safeguard Devices by setting a PIN code in the settings, which must then be entered by any user before accessing the Device. It is the responsibility of the Device Owner to ensure the protection of data added to the Apps, and it is not advised to add privacy sensitive materials.
Data is otherwise not shared with internal or external third party services.
MediaSL takes reasonable measures to protect the personal information collected from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
MediaSL shall not be held liable for any harm caused to users' systems or data resulting from malicious practices stemming from user-entered or third-party data.
To preserve the continuity of a Device's data, we retain associated information for a minimum period of 730 days (equivalent to two years) and up to a maximum of 760 days. This practice ensures that a Device remains as it was left, even during extended periods of inactivity.
Users retain the right to request the removal of their data or seek insight into the data stored by contacting us through the channels specified in Section I: Contact Information. MediaSL is committed to addressing such requests promptly and aims to fulfill them within 30 days.
MediaSL uses Third Party API services as data provider for its Apps.
